Knut Ro

Ro works with business law in general, focusing on insolvency, contract law and real estate law.

Knut Ro graduated from the University of Oslo in 1975 with a Master of Laws. Knut Ro is one of Ro Sommernes' original founders and has been partner since the establishment in 1993. He was admitted to The Supreme Court in 1984. As of January 2021 Ro works as a managing associate. Earlier in his career Ro worked as deputy judge for the Judge Advocate General and as secretary for The Insurance Committee. He was also a member of The Falkanger Committee which revised the Bankruptcy Act in 1993. Ro holds several directorships and is chairman of The Norwegian Advisory Council on Bankruptcy.
