Håvard Wiker

Wiker heads our Insolvency and Restructuring practice. He is regularly appointed by the Norwegian courts as a bankruptcy trustee and restructuring practitioner. He also advises clients on a broad range of general corporate and commercial matters, with particular emphasis on crisis situations, restructurings, debt negotiations and bankruptcy proceedings.

Håvard Wiker graduated from the University of Oslo in 1992 with a Master of Laws. Wiker started as an associate in Ro Sommernes in 1993 and joined the firm as partner in 1996. In January 2026, Wiker was appointed Chair of the Norwegian Advisory Council on Bankruptcy (Konkursrådet). He previously served for 16 years as a member of the Norwegian Bar Association’s Law Committee for Bankruptcy, Debt Restructuring, Security Rights, Enforcement and Debt Collection, including the last six years as Chair of the Committee.
