Andreas S. Christensen

Christensen regularly serves as a trustee in bankruptcy estates, deceased estates, and community property divisions appointed by Norwegian courts. He also has experience as a court-appointed restructuring trustee. In his role as trustee, he has led the administration of several large and complex bankruptcies, including cases with foreign business connections. He is a member of the JUS Expert Committee on Bankruptcy, Composition and Pledges, and Restructuring, and frequently delivers lectures and conducts courses as part of continuing legal education for attorneys. In addition, Christensen has extensive expertise in matters relating to real estate, employment law, and inheritance and family law. With a diverse portfolio and practice spanning both commercial and private law, he undertakes ongoing litigation assignments and has experience with complex legal disputes. He advises on potential board liability cases, both for board members and creditors, and undertakes related litigation assignments. Christensen also holds several board positions in business organizations and has extensive experience in non-profit organizations and public boards. He has served as a board member and chair of Huseiernes Landsforbund, one of Norway’s largest interest organizations. He has also been a member of the Oslo Husleienemnd and, since 2021, has served as chair of Reklamasjonsnemnda for Eiendomsmeglingstjenester. He has further experience as a legal guardian, and as chair and manager of charitable foundations. Christensen also acts as a court assistant in the enforcement sale of real property at Asker and Bærum District Court.

Andreas S. Christensen holds a Candidate of Law (Cand.jur.) degree from the University of Oslo (1998) and was admitted to the bar in 2000. Christensen joined Ro Sommernes as a partner in January 2026, following 20 years as a partner at Kco Advokater. He began his career at Kco as an associate in 1999 and became a permanent attorney in 2002. In addition, he has extensive experience in board and organizational work.
